Year in Review

 Sitting here behind the computer, having just completed a group activity for a new course I am doing about Branding and thinking about my year. 

  1. This year was a building year for me and my business. I actually did a course earlier in the year and it was geared towards my business. See previous posts on this blog. I am in the mood for rebranding. I am thinking about getting a new CEO, Jesus. I want to include him more in my business. It is He who gives and everything belongs to him including my business. I am also thinking about making it a sustainable eco - friendly business. As it stands right now I recycle newspaper, cardboard boxes, and the like. I will still create greeting cards but it will have some sort of eco-friendly aspect to it. **************************************************************************
  2. I am playing around with wild tamarind seed and paper beads. So far I have made a pendant. I have more to do but dealing with children and housework can be daunting and time for crafting can take second place.

       


3. It is now Christmas time and I had thought about making some cards but I never got around to it.

4. This year I have not really created anything to sell like that. I made 3 cards for a teacher for her children's Teacher Appreciation gift, didn't have time to make for my children's own so that is on my to do list for this vacation. I have made some toppers for my childrens' birthday cakes using quilling however and a few things here and there. I think I had just lost my mojo for creating things especially since I was in a rebranding phase.

5. One good thing I must say though is that I have finally written a book. It is a book of poetry. It is centered around teachers. I have researched publishing and am seeking to self-publish but given where I live it is another thing in itself. So I have to add the publishing of my book into one of my goals for next year. Details about the book are to be in its own blog.

6. Everyone is on an AI craze and I was skeptical and decided to try it out. So I have tried a rewording one along with ChatGPT and NightCafe Creator Details to come in another post.

Lastly, I am currently in the planning mode and making goals for my business and life. I think that for next year I will create some God goals for both myself and my business. Goals that I know I need God's help to complete. 
Let's see what God has in store for this little business that I have. Cheers to a year of learning. One down, more to go along with more productivity.

 I came across this craft on Pinterest and it grabbed my attention but I have done it on paper before using embroidery thread and a needle.  This is the first time I did it on board using nails and actual thread.  What do y ou think of my first on wood? First Craft Booth Exhibition

 It was February, Valentine's it was, and for those who are asking we are taking a trip down memory lane. I use to go to the All Saint's West Marketplace and help my sister decorate and set up her area, I may help her pack up or out and clean up etc. This time I decided to participate. The idea was to have an entry product which will be bookmarks, then I have T-Slide cards, Pyramid boxes, Explosion boxes small and large. I separated my tent into two parts using palletts and curtains I decorated one side to look like a photo booth and I was on the other side. The set up was a little testing for me and my first. I had to pin everything down with push pins, the wind was so high. On showcase that day were these cards! My husband was helpful and creative, we hooked up a speaker to the strip and the strip went into the cigarette lighter and we created an ad right there on the spot.  Cleo's Gift Productions is my business, I am currently in the process of registering it. My goal is to one day go into the different business stores and see my products being offered and to also be in the international market.   My objectives are:  To create personalized greeting cards to suit the personality of my customers.  To bring a smile on my customer's face through my creativity  by expanding my offering.   To be a household name locally, regionally and internationally.  To teach others the ancient art of Quilling.
