First Craft Booth Exhibition
It was February, Valentine's it was, and for those who are asking we are taking a trip down memory lane.
I use to go to the All Saint's West Marketplace and help my sister decorate and set up her area, I may help her pack up or out and clean up etc. This time I decided to participate. The idea was to have an entry product which will be bookmarks, then I have T-Slide cards, Pyramid boxes, Explosion boxes small and large. I separated my tent into two parts using palletts and curtains I decorated one side to look like a photo booth and I was on the other side. The set up was a little testing for me and my first. I had to pin everything down with push pins, the wind was so high.
My husband was helpful and creative, we hooked up a speaker to the strip and the strip went into the cigarette lighter and we created an ad right there on the spot. Usually the traffic at the Market place is heavy but it was a rainy day, it rained for most of the afternoon so we did not get the usual traffic. I was a bit disappointed. It seemed as though I spent my money only to not get any return. ( that is what happened, lol)
I realized that, that is what it is when one operates a handcraft store or their own business.
Lessons learnt along the way.
