Cleo's Gift Production

 I came across this craft on Pinterest and it grabbed my attention but I have done it on paper before using embroidery thread and a needle.  This is the first time I did it on board using nails and actual thread.  What do y ou think of my first on wood? I have tried it before on paper, it looks....? What say you? I was making a table top frame for my children's teachers. Watch this space for more.  As a crafter, when you come across new experiences, one would always want to try. At this point in time, I have been actively assisting my students in the subject of Visual Arts at the Form 4 level. In assisting with the subject one's creativity get sparked very often. The picture below is of their achievement during the first term. Last term we did embroidery stitches.  The students seem to enjoy it and the subject as peaked some interest into entrepreneurship for some of them. They have just began to talk but with support and help they can make it.

 Cleo's Gift Productions is my business, I am currently in the process of registering it. My goal is to one day go into the different business stores and see my products being offered and to also be in the international market.   My objectives are:  To create personalized greeting cards to suit the personality of my customers.  To bring a smile on my customer's face through my creativity  by expanding my offering.   To be a household name locally, regionally and internationally.  To teach others the ancient art of Quilling. Well it is 2025 and I have finally registered my family business - G-Tegro Enterprises.  We are in the month of February. This year started with 4 deaths for my family. It has been rough but God is able.  I have started to rebrand and to get a new perspective of my business. Grant it, it has not been officially launched as yet but I am doing things differently. I always work with paper and to create things. I also loved creating things from other things some may call it recycling. The other aspect that I need to add in my business is my faith. The question is what does my business say about my faith in God? Keeping those questions on mind, I am searching and still is in the understanding portion of it. Given the new stance I was betwixt what to do for Valentine's day. I usually do cards and do a promo at the supermarket. This time I prayed about it and I was impressed to do something conveying the greatest love story ever.  During the past few years I have always been called upon to create or assist with projects here and there. Here is a snapshot of  two of them so far.  Fooseball or Football field  Netball court Just a few sometimes you forget to take a picture of your creation. Trying to improve on that for next year. I may even advertise to help students and people with their models and charge for them. Just a thought.

 Sitting here behind the computer, having just completed a group activity for a new course I am doing about Branding and thinking about my year.  This year was a building year for me and my business. I actually did a course earlier in the year and it was geared towards my business. See previous posts on this blog. I am in the mood for rebranding. I am thinking about getting a new CEO, Jesus. I want to include him more in my business. It is He who gives and everything belongs to him including my business. I am also thinking about making it a sustainable eco - friendly business. As it stands right now I recycle newspaper, cardboard boxes, and the like.  It was February, Valentine's it was, and for those who are asking we are taking a trip down memory lane. I use to go to the All Saint's West Marketplace and help my sister decorate and set up her area, I may help her pack up or out and clean up etc. This time I decided to participate. The idea was to have an entry product which will be bookmarks, then I have T-Slide cards, Pyramid boxes, Explosion boxes small and large. I separated my tent into two parts using palletts and curtains I decorated one side to look like a photo booth and I was on the other side. The set up was a little testing for me and my first. I had to pin everything down with push pins, the wind was so high. On showcase that day were these cards! My husband was helpful and creative, we hooked up a speaker to the strip and the strip went into the cigarette lighter and we created an ad right there on the spot.
